Correct early extension/loss of posture through impact drill

Full Swing - down swing

Early extension simply means you are moving your hips towards the golf ball during your down swing and this results in you being unable to hold your spine angle as you strike through the golf ball. Making this standing up action as you hit with result in you struggling to strike well and also make it difficult to control the accuracy of your golf shots, as you will lack the necessary body rotation to square the club face through impact. Here’s a drill to try to help you learn the feeling of holding your spine angle and rotating correctly around it.
