EARLY EXTENSION FIX – Swing fault series Part 1

Full Swing - how to hit golf shots further, Full Swing - movement through impact, How to hit straighter golf shots, Improve your ball strike, Play like a pro, Pressure & Ground force

Early extension is one of the top swing “faults” (I prefer the term issue over fault) that golfers struggle with. It causes you to lose your posture and makes it very difficult to control the club face through impact, leading to a 2 way miss – either blocking the golf ball out to the right, or missing to the left with a big hook (for right handed golfers). So in this video golf tip, Natalie Adams from Smash Factor golf coaching shows you a great drill to get the lead side of your pelvis moving better, which will help you to improve the rotational movement in your pelvis during your downswing and through impact.

If you can achieve a similar golf down swing & impact position to that of a golf professional, then you will really improve your golf ball striking, shot distance and accuracy. The key is to rotate well and deliver speed through your body in a specific sequence – but what does this actually mean and how do you do it? Here’s a really simple drill to work on to get you moving much better through impact.

Holes 5 – 9. Setting targets to achieve and to give you goals to work towards is really important if you are to improve at anything. Breaking 90 when you are out on the course is a great target to work towards achieving for many golfers and in this video Natalie Adams from Smash Factor Golf Coaching takes you out on the golf course and shows you exactly how to approach your golf in order to do this. Covering 9 holes over 2 episodes, this episode shows you how to tackle holes 5- 9 at Rhuddlan Golf Club, North Wales. Tackling par 3s, 4s and 5s Natalie both shows you and talks you through how to approach various situations, the mind set to play with, the shots to execute and the strategy to have in order to break 90 for the first – but not the last – time.
